Six California bike parks are now on Berm

The scale is the story at Mammoth. Berm now has 51 official trails across the lower mountain, Discovery Zone and summit terrain, with four bike-haul lifts in the catalog. That gives you proper high-alpine laps, long descents and enough route choice to avoid riding the same plan all day.

Mammoth is also in the middle of a multi-year rethink of its bike park, with a tighter progression system and new connections arriving from 2026 onward. Check the live operating report before you drive up; lift, gondola and shuttle access changes by date and by zone.

Northstar is built for repeatable lift laps. The map now carries 32 official trails and three bike-haul lifts, covering fast flow, jump lines and the rougher forest tracks that give the place its reputation. The village-side progression terrain also makes it easier to warm up before heading higher.

Operating days are not uniform through the season, so this is another park where the date matters as much as the trail list. Use the Berm page to understand the network, then confirm the day's lifts and terrain with Northstar before setting off.

Not every good park needs a chairlift. Riverview is a free community progression spot with pump tracks, dirt jumps, drops, dual slalom, slopestyle and a short cross-country loop. It is the sort of place where you can work on one thing for an hour instead of committing to a full lift ticket.

Berm currently shows three official trail geometries inside the park. The ground has more going on than that number suggests, so use the map for orientation and the park's own trail page for the current feature list and closures.

SkyPark trades lifts for a pedal back up under the pines. Its 18 mapped trails run from green progression lines to steeper technical terrain, with berms, jumps and wood features packed into a relatively compact hill. That makes it a useful counterpoint to the bigger resort parks in this update.

Snow Summit is the main lift-served gravity stop at Big Bear. Berm now maps 11 official trails and three bike-haul lifts, with a mix of flow, jumps, technical downhill and connections into the surrounding cross-country network. It is a straightforward park to plan once you can see how the top-to-bottom lines fit together.

The operating calendar stretches well beyond weekends in the main summer block, but hours and trail status move with conditions. Build the route on Berm and check the resort report before the first chair.

Snow Valley is the smaller Big Bear option: nine official trails around one bike-haul lift, with shorter laps and a strong bias toward flow and intermediate terrain. It is compact enough to read quickly on the map and different enough from Snow Summit to justify having both in the directory.

The two parks share a resort operator, but they are separate riding zones with their own lift and operating details. Open the Snow Valley guide rather than assuming the Snow Summit report applies to both.
