Berm ("we," "our," or "us") provides a mountain biking activity tracking app with ride recording, crew features, and optional integrations (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use Berm.

- Account information: Sign in with Apple identifier, email (if provided by Apple), display name, username, rider number, and account preferences.
- Profile information: Profile photo, account type, and privacy settings (such as search visibility).
- Ride data: GPS route, timestamps, distance, speed, duration, elevation, ascent/descent, derived ride metrics (such as runs/descents and estimated air time), and ride metadata (bike park/location labels).
- Device/sensor data: Location, motion/accelerometer-derived signals, and other ride-related sensor inputs used to calculate ride metrics.
- Health data (optional): If you connect Apple Health, we may read/write workout-related data as authorized by you.
- Strava data (optional): If you connect Strava, we may import and/or export rides according to your selected permissions.
- Media content: Photos you attach to rides or your profile.
- Usage and diagnostics: App performance, crash logs, and basic analytics used to improve reliability and features.
2. How We Use Information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Record and save rides.
- Generate ride summaries and statistics.
- Show crew leaderboards and social features.
- Sync your data across devices.
- Support Apple Health and Strava integrations you enable.
- Improve product quality, performance, and safety.
- Provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. Legal Basis (if applicable)
Where required by law, we process data based on:
- Your consent (for optional integrations and permissions).
- Performance of a contract (providing core app functionality).

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
6. Your Choices and Controls
You can:
- Edit your profile information.
- Disconnect Apple Health and/or Strava.
- Control search discoverability and certain visibility settings.
- Delete rides and media from within the app (where available).
- Request account/data deletion by contacting us.
You can also manage device permissions (Location, Motion, Photos, Health) in iOS Settings at any time.
7. Data Retention
We retain data as long as needed to provide the App and legitimate business purposes, unless a longer period is required by law. When no longer needed, data is deleted or de-identified.
8. Children's Privacy
Berm is not intended for children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.
9. International Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
10. Your Privacy Rights
